Discussion:
- Cheryl led our conversation on the two great commandments – love God and love your neighbor as yourself. She asked the question, “how do we live that out in your daily lives?”
Moments for Eco-justice/Eco-practice:
- Every Tuesday evening between now and Thanksgiving, please join the Ecojustice and Faith Climate Stories online conversation. Watch a short (about 20 minutes) movie on ecojustice and faith, then enjoy 20-30 minutes of conversation and reflection. We’ll start at 6:30. Here is the Zoom link for each week: Know Thy Shelf Book Club Zoom Link
- The City of Denver has revised their compost services and expanded what can be composted.
Joys and Concerns:
- Cheryl’s friend, Lisa, broke her ankle. Sadly, her recovery is not going very well.
- Michael Stein is recovering very well from his recent surgery.
- Today was Brian Elliott’s last day at FCC Christian Church in Casper. Rhonda Padilla transitions to senior pastor next Sunday!
- Project Angel Heart has lost a great deal of government funding. They’re having to cut back on thousands of meals.
- Cheryl was delighted to see that the New York Times did a story on the housing crisis in Denver and celebrated the tiny home projects that have made a difference. Two of those homes Fireside paid for!
