Discussion:
- It’s Holy Humor Sunday! We shared jokes and laughter while we also relaxed in the peace of creativity. Thanks to Betsy for leading us in the spiritual practice of making and creating, as she taught us how to make refrigerator magnets.
Moments for Eco-justice/Eco-practice:
- Debbie and Cheryl will present our workshop, “Down to Earth,” at the Faith and Climate Summit on Saturday, April 24, at South Broadway Christian Church.
Joys and Concerns:
- Marty Oliver, a long-time member of Granger Christian Church and long-time friend of Cheryl, passed away this week. He and his wife had been married for 60 years.
- Vinetta is defending her DMin dissertation on April 20.
- Larry, Cos’s brother-in-law, Kathi’s brother, passed away this week.
- Michael, Phil and Debbie’s grandson, celebrates his 18th birthday on Thursday.
- Cheryl believes she has cleaned up all the identity fraud that was perpetrated against her.
- Far-right Hungarian leader Orban was defeated in the country’s recent election.
- Pope Leo is courageously challenging the administration’s policies and speaking up for peace.
- Phil Campbell has had several, significant family experiences lately, including birthdays, anniversaries, and health concerns. Perhaps most significant: his sister is now receiving out-patient care from the Mayo Clinic and is waiting for the next round of chemotherapy for acute myeloid leukemia; and his daughter’s spouse, Nora, came out very publicly as trans.
- Mark, Cheryl’s son-in-law, is in his third year of remission. He’s feeling so well that he’s working a construction job away from home.
- Aleta had surgery recently on her eyes and says they are healing nicely.
