Discussion:
- Cheryl recapped the Faith and Climate Forum, and we talked about doing a book study and watching videos based on information from the Forum. More details to come.
- The next set of most-needed items for the Wash Park UCC Immigrant Ministry are Lysol Wipes, bathroom cleaner with bleach, multi-surface cleaner, and sponges. Let’s bring these with us on May 31 for our Fifth Sunday Fellowship.
Moments for Eco-justice/Eco-practice:
- Rather than buying a new bench for her front yard, Cheryl had it repaired and painted – good as new!
- If you want free tomato seeds, you can pick the seeds out of tomatoes you are eating.
- Remember, you don’t always have to flush the toilet every time.
Joys and Concerns:
- Phil and Debbie are enjoying all the May festivities, including Michael’s high school graduation!
- Betsy is having surgery on Monday at Denver Health.
- Vinetta continues work on revisions for her dissertation, and she’s moving into a new apartment.
- Sherrill is recovering from surgery she received last week.
- Rhonda continues to work hard to finish up her MDiv.
- Jeanette is hopeful for another placement possibility through Search and Call. She’s also happy to be leading a book study of Transformed.
- Lisa’s oldest grandchild is graduating from college with a degree in psychology.
- Zora is taking driver’s ed.
- Grace has a summer job in Canada working for a wildlife sanctuary.
- Nicole’s ordination is Friday at Cairn Christian Church.
- Continued concerns for the state of our democracy, the actions the current administration is taking, and ways we can make a difference.
