Discussion:
- Debbie shared her notes from the TEDP talks on economic justice that occurred during the General Assembly.
- The next set of most-needed items for the Wash Park UCC Immigrant Ministry are Lysol Wipes, bathroom cleaner without bleach, multi-surface cleaner, and sponges. Bring items to Debbie and Phil’s house on July 12 or Venmo or Zelle your offering to Cheryl or Debbie for shopping, which will occur on August 3.
Moments for Eco-justice/Eco-practice:
- Debbie and Phil’s Ecobee thermostat is working as it should to automatically raise the temperature inside in comparison to the temperature outside in order to save energy during periods of high energy demand and consumption.
Joys and Concerns:
- Cheryl’s cousin, Beverly, passed away. Cheryl went to Cheyenne for the service and was thankful to see so many people there who knew and loved her cousin.
- Gail Williams is recovering from surgery and is in rehab at The Springs at St. Andrews, Yale and Blackhawk, in Room 116W. Visitors are welcome.
- Hannah has been competing at a national dance competition. Her groups did very well, and she was one of those awarded the title of “Artist of the Year!”
- Lynda Burd, a cherished friend of Cheryl’s and a former youth minister at South Broadway Christian Church, passed away recently.
- Rob Holtzinger, a friend of both Phil Gerkin and Phil Campbell, passed away this past week.
- Phil Campbell’s sister, Jane, has been rapidly declining these past couple of days.
- This is the six-month anniversary of Kathi’s death. Cos has been doing a lot of reflecting.
- Betsy is slowly becoming reacquainted with her twin brother.
- Betsy will help Munsty and South Broadway CC become connected with various Baker Neighborhood groups.
- Chery’s friend, Betty, will be coming to Denver and joining Cheryl on a trip to Utah.
