Our Vision:

  • Loving God / Loving Others / Loving Earth

Our Mission:

  • Fireside Christian Church is an intentional faith community that courageously seeks, questions, challenges, and ministers to each other and the world in authentic affirmation of our faith journeys.  We work to be inclusive of all people as we: embrace our humanity; celebrate diversity; promote peace and justice; create beloved community; receive God’s expansive love; care for the Earth; and act in hope.

Discussion:

  • Judy led our Lenten devotional conversation on “Connect.”  Throughout the week, we are invited to seek sacred spaces to connect.  This is our spiritual practice.

Moments for Ecojustice:

  • Sandra purchased an induction cooktop to use instead of her gas range.
  • Cheryl is lengthening out her trips to the grocery store.
  • Phil is “planting seeds” in Adam’s mind that might encourage Adam’s thinking about tree planting.
  • Bev reused salad containers to create little greenhouses for radish sprouts and other greens.

Joys and Concerns:

  • Winn is doing much better getting around the house these days!
  • Alex made it back to Tucson, where he has a job waiting for him.  Now, he needs to find housing.
  • Sherrill is grieving the loss of Karen, including any continued friendship, which Karen no longer believes is possible.
  • Lisa is rested, caught up, and now planning how she can work ahead.
  • Doretta’s grandson, Lea, suffered a ruptured appendix.  He’s now at home being cared for by his wife who is a nurse.
  • Lisa’s Aunt Pat has been fighting cancer for many years.
