Our Vision:

  • Loving God / Loving Others / Loving Earth

Our Mission:

  • Fireside Christian Church is an intentional faith community that courageously seeks, questions, challenges, and ministers to each other and the world in authentic affirmation of our faith journeys.  We work to be inclusive of all people as we: embrace our humanity; celebrate diversity; promote peace and justice; create beloved community; receive God’s expansive love; care for the Earth; and act in hope.

Discussion:

  • We spent time together today simply holding each other in both rage and joy as we named both our personal and global grief.  It was good to be together.

Moments for Eco-justice/Eco-practice:

  •

Joys and Concerns:

  • Our dear Kathi passed away on Friday, January 9, after a twelve-year battle with Alzheimer’s.  A celebration of life is being planned.  Cos will provide details when available.
  • Cheryl has lost six people close to her recently.
  • Rhonda is back in Lexington this week for intensives.  She’s hoping to go full speed ahead and graduate by the end of the year.
  • Debbie is still struggling with vertigo.  It still lingers, but she’s feeling so much better and has been cleared to drive again.
  • Sherrill’s friend, Adriana, is stranded in Mexico.  This is extra stressful as Adriana is traveling with a green card.
  • Phil C. let us know that ICE was at his daughter-in-law’s preschool.
  • Betsy is enjoying the free movie streaming service, Canopy – especially their documentary of Sherry and Lambchop.
